My work takes me through Redwood Falls again, but I won't be going back to Select Inn due to my experience last month at the motel. The front desk messed up my credit card arrangement (my business has someone set up the hotel and gives them the charge info). I was made to stand and wait at the lobby desk for 40 minutes until the manager came and took care of things in 60 seconds. Once in the room the toilet didn't flush right and one of the lamps had no bulb (not burned out, just missing). After almost 60 minutes of waiting this usually very patient, but travel weary guy had decided that when business takes me through Redwood Falls I will stay somewhere else. Sorry.

I stayed at the Select Inn a few weeks ago and was not impressed whatsoever. When I called initially the front desk clerk was not polite, I did talk to a manager about scheduling a late check-out and she was very nice and was more than willing to work with us. The check-in process was fine but we got to our room, after a walk down a lot of hallways because they don't have appropriate signs, and the room seemed ok at first. Then we discovered the electrical tape holding the batteries in the remote, the tv was so old it didn't even have the white, yellow and red plugs for us to connect our portable dvd player into. We are in 2010 people... Then we attempted to plug the portable dvd player on the nightstand next to the bed and the plug wouldn't stay in the outlet because they couldn't spend the extra buck on a descent outlet. I discovered another one on another wall of the room when I attemped to plug my cell phone charger in that night. The breakfast area is a joke. There are 3 different kinds of cereal, muffins that are the size of the circle my thumb and pointer finger make and there is oatmeal. Oh and lets not forget the juice and coffee. They have a pizza oven but no refrigerator to store it in and there is a microwave but no sink other than in the bathroom. They could have spent a little more on their breakfast selection and less on the amount of seating. I also had a German Shepherd (who belonged to one of the employees) bark and run at me because it heard my keys jingle. That was lovely. The kicker was when we already had the late check-out scheduled and confirmed when we checked-in the day we were leaving I got a very rude phone call from the front desk lady asking when I was going to leave and I told her we have a late check-out scheduled and it should show in the system and she rudely responded with yeah, but late check-out is at noon and it is 20 after, when are you checking out? Really? That is how you treat guests? I then said again to check the system because we have something worked out with the manager and then she figured out what I was talking about and instead of apologizing hung up. I also went down to heat up some lunch a little after that and tried to get back into my room and the key didn't work. I brought it down to the front desk and told them the problem and the guy said oh, that's because you had a late check-out. No apologies for it happening. It never should have happened because we had a scheduled late check-out! The only thing that was apologized was for the dog running at me and it wasn't very genuine. All in all, I wouldn't stay there again. It was convenient for what we needed but there are other hotels in town that I will try next time I'm in the area.

Nasty dirty hotel! I got there looked at the room and cancelled my reservation!

I will never stay there again there front desk employees are rude and they lie to u.

There rooms are not clean windows fall out and they don't pay there cable bill so u have something to do when its raining. And there pool does not work go to the lodge to stay.

I read the reviews for this hotel and I thought wow I think all these bad reviews were written by my ex-wife....first world problems ....I stayed at this hotel because there was an American legion within walking distance....with cold beer and pizza.

I cant say one bad thing about my stay here, because I came here to sleep, not to get my ass kissed by hotel employees that I treat like indentured servants. Some people have watched too many episodes of " Love Boat"
